One of the easiest ways to change you life is to start each day with a 5 minute morning meditation. We often wake up, check our phones, turn on TV, pour coffee down our throats and we are out the door before we even get a chance to think about our day. Take these few precious moments for yourself and to start your day on the right foot.
I highly suggest having an area set up just for you. Oddly mine is on the floor right in front of my desk, so trust me when I say anywhere that works for you WORKS. I think having a pillow is important. It sets the “zone”. I know people love this one but I personally like one that spreads out a little more because of the way I sit. I find using a diffuser of Essential Oils really helps me get into the right frame of mind quicker. Helps me battle the “monkey mind” that is trying to run through my to-do list.
Here are a few of my most effective diffuser recipes:
Tackle The List – This is one I use for those days that have 73 things on the To Do list and just not enough time in the day. Frankincense, the holy fragrance if there ever was one, is believed to help you increase your faith and connection with spirit. Vetiver is great if you have a tendency to lose focus during meditation. I often use an uplifting blend/citrus blend in the morning because it really helps wake me up and focus.

Today’s the Zen Day – This is a great grounding blend! The Arborvitae will balance you and the lavender will relax you. Myrrh is said to directly stimulate the hypothalamus, pituitary and amygdalin glands to help reduce stress and bring focus. It’s mood enhancing scent can assist with spiritual “opening” while bringing calm and tranquility.

Welcoming the Day – This is great to use before a job interview or even a tough conversation. Sandalwood is very helpful in healing, particularly emotional/spiritual wounds. It opens the heart and helps to promote trust. Cedarwood has a grounding and soothing effect on mind and emotions. Grapefruit is great for motivation.
